Marjorie Knowles Obituary
A funeral Mass for Marjorie Ann Knowles, 84, of Bement will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Bement. The Rev. Patrick DeMeulemeester will officiate.
Burial will be in Bement Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Roux-Hinds Funeral Home, 348 N. Piatt St., Bement.
Mrs. Knowles died at 7 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 18, 2006) at John & Mary Kirby Hospital, Monticello.
She was born July 9, 1922, in Piatt County, a daughter of Dan and Loretto Ducey O'Connor. She married Russell Knowles on June 28, 1944, in Ivesdale. He died Dec. 23, 1985.
Survivors include two sisters, Loretto Doyle of Champaign and Hannah Rita Miller of Pesotum.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Mrs. Knowles was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Bement, St. Michael's Altar and Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, the Provena Covenant Medical Center Auxiliary, Neighborhood Sunnyside Club, Bement Bridge Club, Bement Women's Club and Piatt County Home Extension. She enjoyed cooking.
Memorials may be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church in Bement or Faith In Action.

Dick and I would like to extend our sympathy to the family of Marge. We came here to the area 30 years ago and we shared many coffee hours with Marge at St. Michaels Church. She and Russell will always be remembered.
