Michael Fett URBANA, IL - Michael D. Fett, 74, of Urbana passed away at 3:39 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Philo, with visitation an hour prior at the church. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 Philo Road, Urbana, is in charge of arrangements. Michael was born June 25, 1951, in Lima, Ohio, the son of Thomas and Jennie (Ramsey) Fett. He married Wanda Lee Warren on Sept. 14, 1998, in Eureka Springs, Mo. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Heather Fett of Phoenix; a son, Michael Allen Fett of Phoenix; three siblings, Nancy Karr of Cleveland, Thomas Fett of Cleveland and Patrick Fett of Newark, Del.; stepdaughters, Julie Rankin of Hobart, Ind., Tamela Thompson of Champaign and Bridget Blackburn of Terre Haute, Ind.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Michael graduated from Eastern Illinois University and was master sergeant and meteorologist with the U.S. Air Force at Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul for 20 years. He was a former member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Philo and a member of Knights of Columbus and the NRA. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or the Eastern Illinois Food Bank.
