URBANA - Pauline Cochrane, 94, of Arthur, formerly of Urbana, died at 1:30 p.m. Monday (July 29, 2024) at The Arthur Home. Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, 1900 S. Philo Road, Urbana.

I was introduced to Pauline by Kathleen during the visiting year in UIUC for my doctoral dissetation on the topic of LCC. Both of them were important social connections and mentors for me to earn the work. It is Pauline reminded me that I focus to much on my own interests rather than the needs of academia. Always inspired by the wits and energy of this strong woman. Respecful and lovable senior.

Pauline was a special lady. I´m going to miss her and miss our talks I enjoyed taking care of her. She would talk about her family, friends and students and it would bring a smile to her face, I´m praying and thinking about you all during this time of loss.
