Ms. Shirley was a part of my life for as long as I can remember. So grateful to Shirese and Corky for sharing her. Her unforgettable "Shirley-isms"-those witty, wise, and unique expressions-will always stay with me. She was truly one of a kind, and her presence left an indelible mark on everyone who was blessed to know her.

Mrs. Shirley was my supervisor at C.E.R.L. back in the 80's. Myself and a few other young ladies was in the high school work program trying to get more graduate credits for graduation. Mrs. Shirley always stayed on us about school and life.
You can rest now Mrs. Shirley.

Mrs. Shirley Hursey, was a down to earth person. I met her when I joined the youth choir at Bethel A.M.E. Church. There was not much a young person couldn't talk to her about. Straight forward and telling the truth. She even made a lasting impression on my granddaughter Krissie. They shared the same birthday and Krissie always asked me about her. Ms Hursey may you rest in Truth, your truth. May your family and friends hear your voice in the breeze as it graces their ears.
Till we meet again.
