William Dean Cox Bismarck - William "Dean" Cox, 89, of Bismarck passed away at 2:48 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 6, 2025) at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Danville. Dean was born on July 9, 1936, the son of Russell and Pauline (Lindsey) Cox, in Danville. He married Mary "Christine" Campbell on Aug. 6, 1961, in State Line, Ind., and she preceded him in death on March 6, 2016. Dean is survived by his children, Connie (Brian) Wade of Arlington Heights and Marvin (Debbie) Cox of Danville; two grandchildren, Jennifer Cox of Chicago and Billy Wade of Arlington Heights; as well as several nieces and nephews. Dean was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Christine; and sister and brother-in-law, Arlene and Herb Hibler. Dean farmed his entire life in the Bismarck area and worked as a tax preparer for H&R Block for over 25 years. A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Danville. James Boudouris will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Danville. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Dean's memory to the First Church of Christ in Bismarck.
