Debra Kennedy Obituary

Debra A. "Debbie" Kennedy, 47, died unexpectedly at her home in Mentor on March 31, 2014. She passed away peacefully in her sleep with her dog, and loyal companion, Barkley by her side.
She was born May 17, 1966 in Lake County, Ohio.
Debbie graduated from Geneva High School in 1983 and attended ITT in Youngstown. She was employed with Avery Dennison for 23 years.
She loved life, family, vacationing in Mexico, fishing, and her dog Barkley. Her kind heart was as grand, radiant, and warm as the Sun above. She found great joy in making others happy. Her generous nature was overwhelming, her playful personality and humorously clever wit unforgettable. There will forever be a void in the lives of those who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her mother, Carol Booth; siblings, Jim Varner of Ashtabula, Curt Varner of Geneva, Jeff Varner of Ashtabula, Robin Odegard of Harpersfield, and Kelly Booth of Dalton, and their spouses; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; dear friends, Gary and Donna Vanek and James and Rosemary Raymond.
She was preceded in death by her father John B. Kennedy; brother, Tracy B. Kennedy; paternal grandparents; and maternal grandparents, Willard Wayne and Helen Alice Barstow.
No service or calling hours will be observed. A private viewing for the family was held on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Contributions may be made in Debbie's name to any Animal Protective Organization or the American Diabetes Association.
