John W. Brunetz

John W. Brunetz, 84, of Mentor, passed away September 18, 2023 at home, with his wife by his side. He was born June 23, 1939 in Blairsville, PA to the late John and Mary Brunetz.John loved visiting his grandkids and spending time with them. He also enjoyed fishing, playing racquetball and tennis and was an avid golfer. He loved watching football and the Indians and almost any other sport on TV. He also enjoyed stopping at Spats after work to have a beer with the guys. He and his wife, Nancy also enjoyed playing card games with her brothers and going to the boat club for boat rides or just to hang out with family.John is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy Brunetz; sons, David and Mark Brunetz; grandchildren, Julia and David Brunetz; sisters, Sue (Gary) Molnar, Terri Titus and Mary Ann (Al) Hanus; brother, Tim (Sue) Brunetz; brothers-in-law, Neal (Andrea) Smith and Bob (Jean) Smith and many other loving family members and friends.He was preceded in death by his sister Joan Weber; brother, Michael Brunetz and his four-legged buddy, Birdy the cat.The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. â€" 4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, Ohio 44060.
