June Kolbe Obituary

June B. (Douglas) Kolbe, 89, of Mentor formerly of Akron, died peacefully Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Hospice House. She was born in Cleveland on March 26, 1924.
Mrs. Kolbe was a homemaker who also worked at the former HK Ferguson as an administrative assistant and at Kmart in Mentor.
June had a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing in Sweet Adeline's of Mentor and the choir for her church, the First Evangelical United Brethren Church (now the First United Methodist Church) of Akron, where she also was a soloist for many years. She was an animal lover, enjoyed nature and watching birds, but was most happy spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, William P. ""Bill"" Kolbe Jr.; sons, Thomas R. Tasker of Stow, Mark William (Anna) Tasker of Greenwood Village, Colo., and Craig F. (Valerie) Tasker of Medina; grandchildren, David, Mara and Kevin Tasker; her nieces, Nancy (Jim) Clark, and Karen Burriss; nephew, Keith Senkyr; and stepchildren, Mari and Kathleen Kolbe, Cynthia (Charlie) Kiggins, William (Stephanie) Kolbe and Rebekah (Harvey) Hodous. June also leaves many friends at Emeritus of Mentor.
Preceding June in death were her mother and stepfather: Eula and Charles Reichenbach; sister, Shirley Senkyr; and nephews, David and Ronnie Senkyr.
The graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday April 20, 2013, at Lakeview Cemetery, 12316 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106, in Section 37, Lot 340.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland 44110-2602.
