Larry Doherty Obituary

Larry Louis "Puddin'" Doherty, 53, died suddenly on Thursday, April 17, 2014. Larry was a lifetime resident of Wickliffe.
Larry was born February 10, 1961, in Cleveland to Robert and Marion Doherty. Rumor has it that he was such a big baby that the Cleveland Browns stopped by to visit.
Mr. Doherty was a professional over-the-road truck driver and an avid Harley Davidson rider. He participated annually in the Rolling Thunder Ride and made one memorable trip to Sturgis. He was founder and CEO of Useless Knowledge, Inc.
He is survived by brothers, Robert Jr. (Susie), Joe Horvath and Steve Horvath; sister, Kim Gregal; nieces, Jennifer Doherty and Brooke Gregal; nephews, Daniel Doherty and Michael, Logan and Trent Gregal; and beloved cat, Kitty.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 9 at Orlando-Donsante Funeral Home, 29550 Euclid Avenue, Wickliffe, Ohio 44092, 440-943-2466.
Services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, May 10 at the Orlando-Donante Funeral Home. Following the services, there will be a procession out to All Souls Cemetery in Chardon. Bikers are not only welcome, but encouraged to participate in the procession as this was a big part of Larry's life.
Larry was a friend to all who crossed his path and will most definitely be missed!

Miss you Larry! Came back to Ohio a couple of years after you passed and tried to look you up. Kim sorry to hear. Be blessed and I have fond memories of when you and your mom came to visit on your trip here to California. Be blessed, I know Larry was a good friend and I am better to have known him!

My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Larry aka (puddin) Puddin thank you for making me laugh so many times thank you for taking me on a ride on ur bike. You are such a great, fun loving, funny, smarty pants, wonderful person. You will be missed by so many. I'm so glad that I had the pleasure of calling you my friend. You were always making me laugh. I will miss you teasing me about riding my bike and that damn sharpie marker. :-) (Inside joke) only a few know about that one. R.I.P. my friend. Until we meet again!

Kim and family. I am so very sorry for the lose of Larry. He was a friend of my brothers, and in some way, one of the last connections to them. Larry was a huge part of their lives that I can't believe he's gone. My heart breaks with you.

he will be surely missed, he was a good friend and like family to me ,no longer will I hear about how many miles he is from home and telling me about the bridge he is crossing over and the miles of cable used to string up the bridge and when it was built ,I am gonna miss the king of useless knowledge , he always brought a smile on my face ,now jack has to try and get him up and moving up in heaven , I am gonna miss the human rain delay/king of worthless knowledge am gonna miss answering his phone calls by saying "whatcha doin puddin !!RIP
