Lee DeMastry Obituary

Lee Henry DeMastry, 81, of Mentor, Ohio, passed away on November 28, 2017 surrounded by his family.
Mr. DeMastry was the son of Anthony DeMastry and Helen DeMastry (Gaga). He was born on June 24, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio.
After graduating from St. Charles Borromeo High School in Columbus where he excelled at baseball and football, Lee served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He attended boot camp at Paris Island and completed his term of service in Europe. Following his years in the Marine Corp, he graduated from The Ohio State University.
After graduation, Lee took a position as a Human Resource Manager at Federal Mogul Corporation in Detroit, Michigan. He was later transferred to Mentor, Ohio. Lee and his wife Margie, created a wonderful life in Mentor where they raised their four children.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 62 years, Margie (Abram) DeMastry; his loving children, Danny and Ruth DeMastry, Beth and Russ Barker, Amy and Jeff Loga and Michelle and Allen Rosu; his adoring grandchildren, Leah and Nick Walters, Emily Barker and A.J. Barker; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother and sister-in-law, John and Alice DeMastry.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 4th from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave, Mentor, Ohio.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, December 5th at 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 9935 Johnnycake Ridge Rd, Mentor, Ohio. Following mass, inurnment will be at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the medical staff at Lake West Hospital. The entire staff in the ICU provided extraordinary care. With the help of Meagan and Gloria, Lee was treated with the highest level of respect and dignity in his final hours.
