Richard W. Mohan

1934 - 2024

Funeral mass for Richard W. Mohan, age 89, will be 11:00 am, Friday, February 2, 2024, at St. Mary Magdalene Parish, 32114 Vine St, Willowick. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 until 7:00 pm at the Jakubs-Waite Funeral Home 36000 Lakeshore Blvd. Eastlake. Entombment will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland. Richard was born on May 26, 1934, in Cleveland and passed away on January 21, 2024 with his loving wife Theresa at his side. Richard was the beloved husband of 64 years to Theresa "Terry" (nee Gentile) Mohan; loving father of Gina Marie (Tom) McCreery and Dominic Joseph (Doreen) Mohan; cherished grandfather of Richard DiGiorgi (deceased), Regina DiGiorgi, Dominique Mohan, Cassandra Mohan, Gabrielle Mohan, Bret Vavra and Brandon Vavra (deceased); great-grandfather of four. "Sis and Bro" Donna and Tim Turk and "Uncle Moe" of many; preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Richard attended Collinwood High and was a member of the Collinwood Memories. He served in the US Army and worked for 30 years with the City of Cleveland Heights. He also was a bartender for many years at various local Party Centers. After retirement he then worked for Sears. Richard loved people and was a quick wit who always wore a smile. He attended St. Mary Magdalene Parish and enjoyed being a greeter and working at the "Welcome" table during the festival. He was an avid TV fan and watched many re-runs. He loved all sports. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mary Magdalene Parish.
