Richard L. Reith, 55, passed away on his birthday, January 11, 2022, at his home in Nashville, TN.Rick was born on January 11, 1967, to Alan K. and Mary J. Reith and grew up in Mentor, Ohio.As a young man growing up in Mentor, he was a member of Boy Scout Troop #380. He was a gifted singer and musician with an adventurous spirit. While attending Mentor High School he performed in the Cleveland area and throughout Canada and England with the Mentor Top 25 show choir. He was also a web sitter with the George Hubler International Circus. He later attended Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio before moving to Nashville, TN to pursue a career in the music industry as a sound engineer. He worked with such notable performers as Art Garfunkel, Eric Johnson, Sheryl Crow, and Bette Midler. He was the co-owner of 2nd Gear Used Music Consignment in Nashville, TN.He was charismatic, loyal, gentle, and full of boundless enthusiasm. He was a very generous friend that was highly intelligent and admired for his effervescent mind. His mother said he was the most wonderful son she could have asked for. He will forever be missed by all who love him.He is survived by his parents, Mary J. and Alan K. Reith, Aunt Karen McKenzie, cousin Doug Huff, and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lynda Alana Reith.A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held in his honor on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 3:30 P.M. at Deeker’s Sidetracks in Mentor, Ohio.
