Robert Thompson Obituary
Robert passed away Friday, May 6, 2011, at TriPoint Medical Center in Painesville.
Born March 5, 1957, in Akron, he had been a Lake County resident for 47 years.
He enjoyed being a truck driver and loved to golf. In addition, he enjoyed being a papa to the grandchildren.
He was the beloved husband of 16 years to Mary Jo (Minniti) Thompson; the loving father of Eileen (John Nagy, fiance) Thompson, of Mentor-on-the-Lake; Dawn (Chris) Eustache, of Mentor; Morrisa Harlan, of Painesville, Jessica (Tim) Lomasney, of Toledo; the cherished grandfather of Savannah, Justin, Haley and Allyson; the son of Robert D. Thompson Sr. of Willoughby Hills, the brother of Daniel (Lourie) Thompson of Concord Township, Cheryl Knotts of Mentor-on-the-Lake, Jeffrey (Debbie) Thompson of Mentor-on-the-Lake, and Mark (Carol) Thompson of Painesville.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn M. (Lutz) Thompson; and his brother-in-law, Robert Knotts.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. The Rev. Dr. Henry F. Woodruff will officiate services. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Painesville.
Donations in Robert's name may be made in care of the family.
