Steve Palsa

Steve Palsa, age 92 of Mentor, passed away on February 1, 2023. He was born on May 20, 1930, in Cleveland, OH to the late Stephen C. and Susan (nee Kukucka) Palsa. Steve worked for more than 60 years selling outdoor power and lawn equipment. He loved working with his hands. Building wooden furniture and crafts, and drawing and painting with his two grandsons, were his passions. He did not miss any of his grandsons' sporting events. Steve was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Korean Conflict. He was a longtime member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Steve and his wife, Margie, belonged to the Painesville Horseshoe club for several years. Steve is survived by his wife of 68 years, Margaret "Margie" (nee Svec); daughter, Tina Marie (Michael) Wolfe; grandsons, Brad (Katelyn) Wolfe and Jake (Kristen) Wolfe; great-grandchildren, Madison, Benjamin and another great-grandson on the way; sister, Vernie Cicirelli; many nieces, nephews and other loving family.He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Emil Palsa, sisters, Mary Somich and Helen Sustarsic; brothers-in-law, Tony Sustarsic, Rollie Cicirelli, Andy Somich, Ron Phillips and George Plavcan; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Palsa, Lillian Plavcan, Bernadette Phillips, Mary Svec and Helen Svec. The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. Masks are encouraged.
