Walter King Obituary
He was born Aug. 30, 1955, in Painesville.
He enjoyed reading, listening to music, reading his Bible and quoting scripture, and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids. He had a nickname for all of them. He was affectionately known as the "Colonel," "Grand Crazy" and "Papa." He was loved by all. Many went to him for advice.
Mr. King was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his daughters, Latonya Aston, Kenyelle Jenkins, Kiyana Aston, Amber Aston and Melissa Jenkins; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; father, John King; brothers, Roger Noble, Robert Jackson, Jonathan King, Charles King, Sandy (Anthony) Black, Gwen McGrady, Regina (Leon) Johnson, Linda Tally, and Diane Jackson; as well as host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Donnie Sykes; stepmother, Margaret King; brother, Tommy King, sisters, Tracy Paige and Marie Ware; son, Dante Aston; cousin, Danny Glaze; and nephew, Eoshonji King.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Union Community Church, 10959 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord Township. The Rev. Roderick A. Coffee I, Pastor, will be officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
Arrangements are being handled by Johnson Funeral Home in Painesville.

Days have passed but memories will last for ever as we grew up as children and played on Shelby and West Eagle. His laughter and walk will be missed. I know he is united with family in heaven so may he rest in peace. Arlene. "The Ville"
