Ann Boring Obituary

Ann Biege Boring passed
May 27th after 97 great years. Born November 2, 1918 and raised in Baraboo, WI, Ann was the 7th of 9 children. During WWII she enlisted in the Marines and was a statistician at USMC Headquarters in Washington, D.C. where she attained the rank of Sgt. Ann was very proud of her Marine Corps service and celebrated every military holiday as well as participating in the Honor Flight Program. While in DC she met and married a fellow Marine, Sebastian "Bud" Boring, her husband of 62 years. After the war, Ann and Bud moved to Wadsworth, OH where they were founding members of Rawiga Country Club and spent many happy hours there playing golf and socializing. They later moved to Sylvania, OH where they resided until retiring to Florida. Ann was an active member of Community United Methodist Church serving as UMW President, Sunday School Class President, Greeter, Staff Parish, and a worker during Bike Week and Biketober-fest. She also served on the board of Beachside Neighborhood Watch. Every morning she could be found eating breakfast with friends at her favorite haunt, Bertie's Restaurant. She loved a game of cards, did the daily crossword puzzle and enjoyed an occasional gin and tonic. She is survived by her brother, John Biege (99); daughters Becky (Bob) Lindhorst, Barbara Carr and Cristina Reis; grandsons Andrew Carr, Robert (Brianna) Carr, Fernando Reis, and Eduardo Reis; great-grandson, Sebastian Lee Carr; and 100+ nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family members and many friends.A Celebration of Live is planned for Thursday, June 2nd, 3:00 at Community United Methodist Church, 616 Harvey Ave. Daytona Beach. Donations can be made in her memory to the church.

My Great Aunt Ann was the best! She always was the life of the party. Never held back when giving her opinion. Ann had a heart of gold and was always happy to see you. I am blessed to have had her be a part of my life. You will be missed!
