Edna Huizing

Edna Huizing Obituary

Edna Huizing, 88, a resident of Ormond Beach for 26 years, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, at her home. Mrs. Huizing was born Jan. 9, 1918, in Paterson, N.J., and moved with her husband, Albert, to this area in 1983. She was a member of the Riverview United Methodist church, AARP Chapter 1057, and a local quilt guild. Survivors include her two daughters, Susan, Annandale, N.J., and Marsha, Easton, Pa.; two sisters, Mary and Mildred; three grandsons, Doug, Dan and David; two granddaughters, Gail and Tammy; and two great-grandchildren, Alexander and Alyssa. Memorial donations are requested to be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice. There will be a memorial service Wednesday, December 13, at 11 a.m. at the Riverview United Methodist Church, John Anderson Dr., Ormond Beach.

I met Edna through my Mom, Gwen Pounds. Edna was a nice, warm lovely woman. She was loved by her friends and family.
