ELIZABETH SULLIVAN GOSSETT

Funeral service for Elizabeth (Betty) Sullivan Gossett, 83, South Daytona who went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 20, 2012 will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012 at First Baptist Church, 2197 Kenilworth Ave. South Daytona with Rev. Ronnie Barton officiating. Friends wishing to call and pay their respects may do so Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service at the church. Mrs. Gossett was born in Jacksonville, FL , moved to this area and graduated from Mainland High School in 1947. She then married, moved to Ohio and raised her family and then returned to Florida where she retired from the Volusia County Finance Department. She was a member of First Baptist Church, South Daytona where she was very active and had a passion for collecting food with her Joy Class for Halifax Urban Ministries. With her laughter and sense of humor, she always enjoyed fellowship and going out to eat with her family and friends. Mrs. Gossett was preceded in death in 1983 by her husband Milton Raymond. A loving and caring mother, her survivors include her only child Catherine Gossett Pelletier (Rich), who she always put first, a sister Dorothy Williams, a brother, Buster Sullivan and many loving nieces and nephews.
