Gary Stotz Obituary

Gary Michael Stotz, Sr., born in Akron, Ohio on June 12, 1947, departed on March 15, 2015 and resided in New Smyrna Beach, FL. Gary M. Stotz was born in Akron, Ohio where he lived with his parents, Gordon and Hazel Stotz. His family moved to Winter Haven in 1947. In 1998, Gary moved to New Smyrna Beach, Florida, which he has always called "Paradise". Gary departed this life on March 15, 2015, after spending the weekend with his wife and close friends in Bridgewater, New Jersey. He is survived by his wife, Wynette H. Stotz, New Smyrna Beach; sons, Gary Michael Stotz, Jr., Winter Haven, FL, and Grant Mason Stotz, Brenham, Texas; and sister, Cheryl Tillman, Sebring, FL. Gary worked for many years with Accurate Industries and WasteQuip in the waste industry, dealing with the manufacturing of intermodal equipment. Gary had planned to retire in 2016 - 2017, so he could spend more time traveling in his motor home with his wife. For those of you who knew him well, you know he "bled orange and blue", loved NASCAR, and traveling in his motor home with his wife and very special friends. He leaves behind many friends and family, who will miss his sharp wit, his loving and happy nature, and his ability to enjoy life. As most of you know, Gary did not want to have a funeral and wished to be cremated. He asked everyone to honor his wishes in that regard. The family is planning a celebration of life, which will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015, at the SoNapa Grille, 3406 S. Atlantic Ave., New Smyrna Beach, FL. Memorial donations may be made in Gary's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Online condolences may be made at www.settlewilderfuneralhome.com.
