Gertrude Moore Obituary

Gertrude Lee (Trudy) Moore, 49, passed away suddenly April 30, 2006. She was a resident of DeLand and attended DeLand High School, and worked for the FDOT before relocating to Heber City, Utah. She was preceded in death by her mom, Sandra Slanker, DeLand, and her dad, Nollie Moore, Dayton, Ohio. Survivors include her other father, Richard Slanker; two sisters, Vicki Mitchell and Tina Pollard, all of DeLand; brother, Nollie Moore; her best friend, Lisa Darden, Heber City, Utah; nieces, Sharla Mercado, DeLand, and Tiffany Rabner, Longwood; and two nephews, Jeffrey Mitchell, Ormond Beach, and Clayton Spencer, DeLand. She will be missed by many for her great heart and sense of humor. A private service will be held in the near future.

Trudy just saw your obit ty for loving me and for being my BFF RIP my friend with your mom and dad had so much fun fishing with your mom and dad and family celebrations. Good times and bad ty for all our memories we made with Howard and all our animals and Lake Helen FRIENDS Prayers to all who knew you and loved you!

Gert was a great sister who died way before her time. It is just awful. I miss her every day and will continue to miss her. What a great sense of humor she had. She knew no strangers. She was loved by all.
