James Noblitt Obituary

James Robert "Bob" Noblitt, 62, died suddenly Fri., May 23, 2008, at Florida Hospital Ormond Beach. Bob was born in Chattanooga, Tenn., and moved from Ft. Myers to Ormond Beach in 1980. He served in the Vietnam War with the United States Navy and was a general manager in the boating industry for many years. He played the clarinet as a young man and Bob enjoyed spending his time with his beloved pet dachshunds, Samson and Blue. He was an avid collector of knives and antiques. He was also an amazing jewelry designer, and would cut and polish opals as gifts for the loving women in his life. He liked anything related to boating, and also liked to go fishing. He was loved by everyone who knew him and will be dearly missed. Bob has left behind to cherish his memory, his adoring wife of 25 years, Mary, Ormond Beach; daughter, Megan, of whom he was very proud, Daytona Beach; parents, Howard and Delores Noblitt; sisters, Janice Lynne Noblitt, Simpsonville, S.C., and Pamela Noblitt Bridges, Lexington, S.C.; and a myriad of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the care and trust of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home.
