JEAN EVERSON Obituary

Jean A. Everson, 92, of Port Orange and formerly Blossburg, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, September 22nd, 2011. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 27th, 2011 from 11am until 12pm at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona. Funeral services will begin in the chapel at 12pm, with burial to follow at Daytona Memorial Park Cemetery. Jean was born in Morris Run, Pennsylvania on October 18th, 1918 to the late Anna Elizabeth Erickson and Nicholas Reid. She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Jean was a wonderful baker and was known for her famous Jello Cakes, and many sweet treats. She was a member of the Sunshine Girls welcoming committee and past President of the Barefoot Park Home Association. Jean was a devoted parishioner at the First United Methodist Church in Port Orange. She loved to dedicate her free time there and help others in any way possible. Jean is survived by her loving children: Richard Everson, Howard (Teri) Everson, and Alice (Len) Meyer; grandchildren: Stephanie (Brian) Hutchison, Niki Everson, Debbie Parker, Tim Barrow; three great-grandchildren; and two great- great-grandchildren; dear friend, Maria Vincent; and many extended family members and close friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Howard J. Everson; parents, Anna Elizabeth Erickson and Nicholas Reid; and grandchildren, Kimberly and Stephen Barrow. Memorial donations can be made in Jean's honor to Vitas Hospice, 2381 Mason Ave, Suite 100, Daytona Beach, FL 32117, or to Indigo Palms Assisted Living at 570 National Health Care Drive, Daytona Beach, FL 32114. Condolences are welcome and may be shared with the family at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.com Arrangements are under the direct supervision of Lohman Funeral Home Daytona.
