Jim Revell

1940 - 2018

Jim Revell, 77, of Ormond Beach, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 23, 2018. Jim was born on August 28, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois and moved with his family to northern Virginia. He graduated from Wakefield High School and Richmond Professional Institute. There he met and married his beloved wife of 54 years, Nancy, and started a family. Jim was a teacher and assistant principal at Culpepper High School, a sales representative with Ortho Diagnostics, and a land developer/home contractor. In 1980, Jim moved his family to the Ormond Beach area and continued to build houses until his retirement in 2005. After retirement, Jim pursued his hobbies of photography, painting, and golf. Jim was known for his kindness and generosity of spirit. He donated his time, money, and talents to Habitat for Humanity and local schools. He loved his family, dogs, and making people laugh. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Revell, his son, Chris Revell, his daughter, Cathy Page of Fuquay Varina, NC, his brother Mike Revell of Montclair, VA, and his grandchildren, Hannah, Justin, Matthew, Eli, and Dylan. A remembrance celebration will be held at a later date. Jim will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
