May the comforting words of Ps.9:9 strengthen and bring you peace knowing that God remembers us in difficult times. My condolence to all those affected.

Dear, Karen and Cheryl and the entire family, I am deeply saddened by your loss. My memories of mom are filled with laughter and fun. We were great tennis rivals but more than that I recall many good times. Here are a few fond memories when we traveled or just hung out together. We flew to Germany on both business and pleasure however when we arrived mom's luggage had not. Luckily for mom mine did. Instead of being upset, we acted like teenagers sharing my clothes for about 4 days. Mom always took things as they came with a positive attitude. Another adventure with mom was going to the Daytona 500. Mom suggested that we go into the infield. As we carefully descended the race track's track, we accidentally met this rather attractive guy "as i called it in a racing costume" and chatted asking various questions about why he was heading towards the pits and other questions about the race itself. He smiled and said "He had no idea to any of our questions" and strolled off. Later, we discovered it was one of the Walthrup boys(Darrel). When we ran into him a while later in the pits, he pointed at us and laughed as he wiggled into his race car and sped off. Mom and I stared at each other thinking we were obviously not up on the drivers but thought it was funny and promised to study the names and faces for future Daytona 500's. Our times together were always upbeat and happy. She was a role model for me as a corporate wife who was always proper but also real. No airs about her...just sincere honesty. I have thought about her ever since I moved away and we spoke briefly over the past few years. She will be missed by so many but always in our hearts. I personally will smile when I think about all our adventures together and the friendship we shared. With my deepest condolences, sympathy and love. Ruth Kling (Lew's ex-wife)
