My heartfelt condolences go to the Davis family and my childhood friend Curtis [Davis]. I first ran into Mr. Davis as a 7th grader at Darnell-Cookman Elementary school and let's just say - it was to "get my behind back on the right track" per say. But all the time everyone knew he was there to guide you to want to follow a path of higher learning and maturity. I never realized that he was a fellow graduate of BCU until I read about all of the important and amazing accomplishments in his life that he was instrumental and involved in. What a tribute to a well-lived life of serving young people and helping others. Lastly, I would like to tell the family that I am praying for and thanking them - along with countless other students, faculty and friends - for letting Mr. Davis be a part of our lives. "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!' Matt 25:21

It would be an injustice to make a short statement about a man who made a difference in many of young men lives today had it not been for Mr. Nathaniel Davis, Assistant Principal, Raines High School. Before it was named Raines it was called School #165 and it's leadership of Dr. Andrew Robinson and Mr. Davis that help mold us to be $2 million dollar students and become professionals, athletics, soldiers, etc; He gave us the inspiration as young men to come to school with dignity and respect and leave as a young man into an adult world. Long after Mr. Davis left Raines High I'm sure his voice still echo's in the halls. They just don't make them like Dr. Davis anymore and a lot of schools could have learned a lot from this man. THANK YOU FOR A JOB WELL DONE! May you rest in peace.

Mr. Davis has quite a resume, but he will always be a Raines Viking. Along with Dr. Robinson we had the best of the best for the welfare of all students. Rest In Paradise my brother and thank you for keeping me in line. JT
