Robert Voshell Obituary
Robert C. "Bob" Voshell, 82, New Smyrna Beach, a swimming pool contractor and owner of Holiday Pools, New Smyrna Beach, before his retirement, died Friday, January 17, 2014. Bob, a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict, was born in Chicago, IL and moved to the area in 1975 from Winter Park. He was a charter member and past president of the Edgewater Rotary Club, member of Elks Lodge #1557, Edgewater and an active volunteer at Southeast Volusia Humane Society, New Smyrna Beach. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Joan; one son, Brad of New Smyrna Beach; two daughters, Kimberly (Kenneth) Davis of Edgewater and Lisa (David) Weaver of New Smyrna Beach; two sisters, Joyce (Phil) Anderson of Sarasota and Janice (Joe) Glenn of Asheville, NC; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren, one nephew, Mark Laurint of Jacksonville and three nieces. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey in 2005. Memorial service will be 2 PM Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Dudley Funeral Home, New Smyrna Beach with Rev. Larry Husebo, Pastor, Christ Community Church, New Smyrna Beach, officiating. Cremation will be by Dudley Crematory, New Smyrna Beach. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Southeast Volusia Humane Society, 1200 S. Glencoe Road, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168.

To The Voshell Family,
You all have such a special place in my heart. So I wanted to tell you a story about "Dad". I was playing in a golf outing, and I hit a ball into Dad's yard! When I started to look for it I saw Bob cooking some steak's on his lanai and he invited me in had a beer with him and Joan. Told him I had to go because I might be holding up players. We walked to my ball and he said guess it is out of bounds. I said no problem I am only lying 2 on a par 5 I will take a stroke. Went back to say goodbye to Joan and dog's and finished my beer. Bob walked with me while I chiped up to make a birdie! He called back to me and said I have something to give to you Kathy! In his hand was a bag of golf balls. He said you might need these on the next hole. We started laughing like I always have with him and all the family. God Bless!! Kathy Greer
