Roy A Lafarier (Butch)

Daytona Beach - Roy A Lafarier (Butch), of Daytona Beach 75, died peacefully at home surrounded by all his family on February 28, 2021. He was born September 07, 1945 in Gardner Massachusetts.

Butch graduated from Lunenburg High School in 1964. Following his graduation, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and fought in the Vietnam War.

He was married to his wife Maryann of 43 years. He worked at the US postal office as a letter carrier for almost 30 years. He was well known in the local area for working at Conrads and Cappy's. He loved being a husband and a father to his daughter Casey. Butch was also a big fan of going to the casino with his wife and playing the slots. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a big fan of camping, horseshoes, horse races and dog races. He loved to cook for everyone around him. Butch was a wonderful man loved by many and had the respect of anyone who he encountered.

He was survived by his wife Maryann Lafarier of Daytona Beach Florida, Daughter Casey Voyer of Templeton Massachusetts, Sister-in-law Beatrice Hoggarth of Daytona Beach Florida, Brother-in-law Frank Morlock of Salem, NH. Also survived by his grandchildren Stanley Mason Jr. of Upton MA, Breanne Mason of Winchendon MA, Brandon Mason of Winchendon MA, and great grandchildren Wyatt and Ace Mason of Upton, MA. He also had 9 brothers and several sister-in-laws who loved him dearly, along with many nieces and nephews.

One of a kind who will be missed dearly!!!! Always cared about everyone and always made sure his wife and grandkids were well taken care of!!!! So many filled memories of Super Bowl party´s as well as all the holidays and family gatherings

Great guy taught us boys how to do things the right way at Cappys restaurant in Lunenburg. Butch, Mo, Tiny, Mark and Greg the bartender what great memories and a great place to teach a young person solid work ethic. My condolences go out to his wife and the entire family, please know that he helped instill the solid work ethic I have carried my whole life . I know he will be missed and I am sorry for your loss.
