Ernest Hough Obituary

Ernest Dale Hough: A great man has entered the gates of heaven; we know that angels are singing knowing what a wonderful man they have received. On August 3, 2009, at 5:30 p.m., Ernest Dale Hough rose when God called his name. He was born September 11, 1928, in Coldwater, Kansas, the son of Charles and Mary Hough. Ernest was united in marriage to Rebecca (Smiley) Hough, and on July 30, 2009, they celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary. Rebecca will deeply miss the only man she had ever loved. Ernest is also survived by his children and their spouses, Flo and Barry Blackmore, Halee and Danny Zaragoza, Gary and Linda Hough, Larry and Linda Hough, and Charles Hough; and his brothers and a sister, that thought the world of him, Ed Hough and wife, Danna, Donnie Hough and wife, Carolyn, and Ruby Morrison. He was not just a husband, father, son and brother, he was also a paw-paw, grampy, and grandpa to his many loved grandchildren. He was an uncle to his many nieces and nephews, and "Ernie" to all of his friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2009, in Meadors Funeral Home, Republic, with Rev. Jerrell Venable officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Republic. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, in the funeral home.
