Freddie Lee Stone

Freddie Lee Stone, age 83, of Springfield, Mo., left this world suddenly on November 12th, 2011, doing what he loved best, hunting with his son, grandson, great-grandson, and his hunting buddies. He met the love of his life Betty Rosetta Saltkill in 1946 at the Mozart Theatre. They were united in marriage on November 15, 1947. To this union, they were blessed with two sons, Bert and Jay.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Jay; 3 sisters; and 3 brothers.

Fred is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Rosetta Stone; a son, Bert Stone and his wife Donnis; a grandson, Mike Stone and his wife Lesa; a granddaughter, Michelle Brooks and her husband Jason; 3 great-grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, Tara and Katy Brooks, and Kyle Stone; 3 step great-grandchildren; a longtime "sister" to he and Rosetta, Louise King; an "adopted" granddaughter Kristina and her husband Chris Brown, and family; a niece Judy Miller, of Fayette, Mo; and a host of other relatives and friends.
