Harley Speer Obituary
Strafford - Harley H. Speer, 86, of Strafford, died September 22 at his home. Harley was born June 16, 1932 in Lima, IL. He married Dorothy Pitt January 1, 1958 in Plymouth, IL.
He was employed over 41 years with the telephone company in Carthage, IL, retiring in 1992.
Surviving are his wife Dorothy, of Strafford, his children, Debbie (Bill) Ayres of Strafford, Martha (Brad) of Cross Roads, TX, Sarah (Kevin) Picklesimer, Sanford, FL, Samuel (Glenda) Speer, Lawton, OK, and Rachel (Andrew) Semple, Strafford, 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Greenlawn North in Springfield. Visitation is one hour prior.
