It was a priviledge to have known him, and his time among us as our pastor blessed us and encouraged us to continue on the path of the Lord during a time of testing and trial. I have always respected his commitment, his fortitude, and his faithfulness to the Word of God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
May God grant peace to you, his loved ones, who have been left behind, and may his labors yield the eternal fruit of souls saved and believers edified in the Word.
We will never forget him and his service to the church and the church's Lord.
With Love,
Steve & Dianna Brown and Cindy & Josiah

Mrs. Vickery,

I was so sad to hear about Pastor Vickery the other day. He was my Pastor for years and after all this time living away from New Jersey, I still have considered him MY PASTOR. I have many fond memories of you and Him as you led Community Baptist together. Pastor was never too busy to talk to me about anything that was on my mind. He was genuinely concerned for me but was never judgemental but always showed his love and concern. Mrs. Vickery,
I always knew that you would be the first person that would greet me inside the doors of CBC everytime I entered. You always had the biggest smile and like your great husband, you too always were sincerely interested and concerned for how I was doing. Mrs. Vickery, I just want to tell you that I love you and your entire family and I look forward to that day that we shall all see Pastor again. Dr. Vickery always reminded me that I was his favorite Daughter-in-law. I would usually respond that I was his only daughter-in-law, and he would remind me even to the end that yes, maybe so, but I was his favorite. His last day on earth, I told him that he was my favorite FATHER in law. I can only hope he heard me.

Mrs. Vickery
Your husband was a remarkable man, he loved life and his Lord. Everyone who ever came in contact with him could feel the presence of the Lord in his life. May the Lord bless and keep you in his care. LOve always.

Dear Mrs. Vickery and Connie and Karen and Eddie,
Your loved one , my friend and pastor is with our Lord Jesus Christ, whom he preached about for many years. Just to think he is now bowing before Him.Just makes Heaven so much closer doesn't it.
I'll miss him, it just seemed like no matter where I was I always knew that if I needed to, I could pick up the phone and call Bro. Vickery. I guess now I can just ask Jesus to let him know.:)
Mrs. Vickery, I'm alwys here for you if you ever need anything. You will always have my prayers.
Thank you and Connie and Karen and Eddie for sharing him with us. We were truly blessed because of him and his life.
Can't wait for that glad Reunion day.
