John Grant Obituary
John Robert Grant, age 78, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014. He was born on August 5, 1936, in El Dorado, KS. John was united in marriage to Georgiana Fellows on April 10, 1976, in Springfield, MO. He retired from Texaco after 36 years of service. He enjoyed reading, landscaping his yard, listening to gospel music and watching the Kansas Jayhawks play basketball. John always put a smile on everyone's face with his great sense of humor. He was a member of Galloway Full Gospel Church where he faithfully attended services and weekly prayer meetings. John loved sharing the gospel with everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Catherine Sullivan and Louise Lewis. He is survived by his loving wife Georgiana, son & daughter-in-law John Nathan and Angela, sisters Ferne Rollins, Jackie Flint, and Beulah Wright, and a host of family and friends.
Service will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home North Monday, Dec. 29 at 10am, with Pastor John English officiating. Burial will follow at Payne Cemetery in Polk, MO. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday, Dec. 28 from 3pm-5pm.
