Kevin Alsup

Kevin Alsup, 48, of Springfield, Mo., went home to be with his Lord on September 13, 2009, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on June 28, 1961, in West Plains, Mo., to Don and Barbara Alsup. Kevin's love for people was evident in his career choice of public service. He served as West Plains Park's Director and later Manager of the West Plains Municipal Golf Course, where he designed the second nine holes. He was District Sales Manager for both Bankers Life and most recently, Mutual of Omaha, in Springfield, Mo. Kevin is survived by the joy of his life, his children, Jeremy and wife, Kate, Jarryd and fiancée, Melissa, and MaKenzie; and their mother, Glenna Alsup. He is also survived by his parents; his grandmother, Marie Good; his fiancée, Audrey Bottrell; his brother, Brent and wife, Renea; and nieces, Brittney and Jennifer Newberry and husband, Brad. A celebration of life memorial service will be held on September 26, 2009, at 2 p.m., in First United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, the First United Methodist Church or His Place of Worship.
