Dear Goheen family,

We are very sorry for the loss of Uncle Carl and the long time of difficulty you have experienced with his illness over the past several years. Dad and Carl loved and enjoyed each other so much through many happy and difficult times. We are praying often that the Lord will comfort you in your sorrow.

I will miss my grandpa very much. I did not get to see him much, but I enjoyed it when I did. I loved hearing all his stories when my family visited he and grandma.

I will miss Grandpa. His stories were always captivating. Sometimes they were so funny he would be laughing while he was telling it and sometimes they were so intense I would be on the edge of my seat.I will always remember how special that was that he shared so much with me and my family. My heart goes out to Grandma and all his family and friends.

Carl will always be remembered for his good nature, easy laughter, and quick wit. Our families came together far too infrequently but the memories are all wonderful and are still fresh.

My Uncle Carl. I think of him now as I remember him in my youth. Always happy and full of life. Our families shared so many activities together and it was a blessing to have my Aunt Helene and Uncle Carl as part of my life.

Helene, I was so sorry to learn of Carl's passing. Martha sent me a note this morning (Mon). Can't feature you or Carl being that old. Seems as though you both should still be about 40. Time does pass quickly. We will keep you and all the family in our prayers. Love, Maurice (Rece) Cochran

We are very sorry to Helene and the family for your loss. I met Carl when i was working at Village Mart rest. on Kearney St. He was a awesome person. We talked about his family, the jobs he had, but most of all we talked about him being in WWII. He was so excited about being asked to go to Hawaii for the anniversary of Pearl Harbor, as he got to put a wreath in the ocean. I also had the pleasure of meeting his wife, Helene. I will miss him and am glad I knew him. Terri & Arlie Free
