I met Pastor Rick when my husband and I visited Morningside last spring. We heard a man singing and playing the piano. The music and his voice were so anointed that I sat down and listened and sang along with him for almost an hour.
My husband kept nudging me to go, but I pleaded for "a few more minutes." The music and song were seeping into my soul, touching and healing me emotionally. I would have stayed there until Pastor Rick stopped playing and singing if I could have.
I knew I had to return another time. We returned in August, but the youth held the service. They did a wonderful job, but Pastor Rick was not present. So I looked forward to coming again this year to hear the pastor with the golden voice and anointed fingers. I am so sorry to hear he passed away. I just learned it this morning on the Jim Bakker show.
May God touch his wife and family, comfort them with the wonderful memories of time spent with a husband and father.
Rick, you will be missed. I wish I could have heard you play and sing just ONE more time.

Memories of Ricky and Cheryl are very dear to me and thousands of others who worked with us on keeping Maine clean from a nuclear waste dump. Rick contributed countless hours and much energy to a cause we all believed in. His friendship and dedication will never be forgotten and I sendb much love from Maine. Cheryl. ..you will be in our prayers and Rick's memory will be in our hearts.

Cheryl, I was so sad to hear of Rick's passing. I sang back-ups with his band many years ago. He was a genius, and added so much to so many lives. Please know that I am thinking of you, and am so sorry for your pain. I, too, have lost my husband, so I know what it's like. Sending hugs...Kathy

I remember my brother played with him in the Michael James Band back in the 80's (I believe). It was the first band for my brother Tony Moore. I remember Rick being really tall☺ I am very sorry for the loss of Rick.

Comfort and peace to Rick's wife, family and all his loved ones. Hugs to Jean and Judy, with happy memories of days long pasts when we were kids at Littlefield. When I was at UMO, I enjoyed several opportunities to see Rick and Oak perform locally. May he rest in peace, and may your memories of him brighten your days.

I was so shocked to read of Rick's passing in today's Portland Press Herald. It was just a week or so ago I turned right from River Road (Windham, ME) heading to Route 302 in Westbrook. As I passed the home you had lived in there, I wondered where you are now and if God had continued to bless the earth with your music and ministry. You probably would not remember me, Cheryl, but I was part of the CADRE Team in Windham and was at your house for meetings a few times when Rick was so helpful to us putting on retreat days for the Windham Public Schools. Rick made SUCH a difference here and I have never forgotten him. I often think of his story about his mom cutting off the end of the ham!! :) Please accept my sympathies to you and your daughter and those from your ministry who loved him so much. May he rest in peace and may God bless you and yours in abundance with the gifts of comfort and peace.
God Bless,
Doris Meehan
