Ricky Simms Jr.

Ricky Simms Jr., age 35, of Springfield, Mo., passed away Sunday, May 31, 2009. He was born May 5, 1974 in St. Louis, Mo. He was a coach at Study Middle School. He is survived by his daughter, Chloe Syanne Simms, St. Louis; his mother, Rachel Love, Medina, Ohio; father, Rick Simms Sr.; step-father, John Tyler; and three brothers, John, Vincent and Chris Tyler, St. Louis. He leaves behind a long time companion, Carolyn Mulkey and her daughter, Cathryn, Springfield. A memorial service will be held at 2:30p.m. Saturday, June 6, in Deliverance Temple Church, Springfield, Mo. Visitation is at 10 a.m., and funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., June 8, in Austin Layne Normandy Chapel, Normandy, Mo. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up at Empire Bank to help with expenses.
