Stanley Turner Obituary

Stanley George Turner, 75, of Springfield passed away May 12, 2006, in his home. Stan was born October 13, 1930, in Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire, England, to Montague George Edward and Harriett Louise Abbott Turner. He was preceded in death by both his parents and a sister, Kathleen. He is survived by his son, Stanley W. Turner, Springfield two grandchildren, Isaiah and Isabella, Springfield a brother, Cecil Turner of Waltham Cross, England a sister, Marjorie Hutchinson of Wellingborough, England a nephew, Brian Hutchinson, Kettering, England and many other nieces and nephews. Stan was corporal in the British Army as well as an Elk and a Mason. He emigrated to California in 1959 via the Queen Mary where he spent many happy years. His pastimes included motorcycles and sports cars. Visitation will be Thursday, June 15, 2006, from 5t o7 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Final services will be later this fall at All Saints Church in Wellingborough, England. Donations made in his name to Community Hospice of America would be appreciated.
