47, of Carrick, on Wed., Jan. 11, 2012. Beloved wife of Stephen J. Szklany; adoring mother of Stephen and Nicholas Szklany; cherished daughter of Daisy (Petrovich) and the late Irvin Glowacki; dear sister of Kimm and the late Jeffrey Glowacki; aunt of Lacey Glowacki; loving cousin of Tammy (Kevin) Clark, her children Brittany and Brandon, Keith Hall, and the late Val DiLuca; and niece of Rudy Petrovich and the late Olga Hall. Friends received at the CIESLAK & TATKO FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2935 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, 412-881-2300, on Sun. 12-4 and 6-9 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Mon. at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Val's family c/o the funeral home. Kimm & Family: Ace just informed me today of Val's passing this morning...it was a shock to both of us. We just had a conversation about Jeff last week (he comes up frequently between us) and we happened to bring up Val. So sorry to hear of your families loss, and I am so sorry that we weren't there to extend our condolences in person. You are all in our thoughts...

Kimm, I was very shocked to be reading the obits & come across Val's name. So young & a family of her own to raise. What has happened? I do hope you know that if you and your family ever need anything from me that I am just a phone call away & you better never lose that # either! You know I will always love & care about you guys. We are very sorry for your loss. Val was a beautiful person inside and out, I can only imagine the sorrow you all are going through now, she will be missed! her courage and outlook on life will never be forgotten. Neither will the hearts she has touched. She was an amazing, energetic, smart, and determined person. And always was doing for others before herself and that is what made her stand out. She was a great person, and we can not express our sympathy enough. You are all in our prayers.
