Obituary

Charles Walter Dunlap Jr. of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Plymouth Meeting, PA. and Roxborough, Philadelphia, PA went to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 22, in Cape Coral, FL. He was the loving husband of Bernice (Bunny) Dunlap, for 51 years. He was born in Philadelphia, PA August 4, 1922. He was the son of the late Charles W. and Jane Jenkins Dunlap. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Dunlap. Walt served his county honorably in WWII as a member or the 8th Army Air Force and was a POW in Germany. He retired as a salesman from the Philadelphia Gas Company. His hobbies included: hunting, training field dogs, music, playing drums, golf, flying and boating.

In addition to his wife, he leaves to cherish his memory one brother, Richard (Theresa) Dunlap, and a sister-in-law, LaVerne Dunlap McClennen, as well as a large extended family of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Faith Presbyterian Church, 4544 Coronado Pkwy, Cape Coral FL 33904. Memorial contributions may be sent to the C. W. Dunlap Jr. Flower Fund at Leverington Presbyterian Church, 6301 Ridge Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19128, the Family & Youth Center at Faith Presbyterian Church, 4544 Coronado Pkwy., Cape Coral, FL 33904 or Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.

Arrangements by the Metz Chapel of Harvey-Engelhardt-Metz Funeral Homes, Cape Coral.
