Wellford, SC- Donald Wayne Dees, 60, of Wellford, SC died Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at SRMC. Mr. Dees was the son of Jeanette Barnes Dees and the late Vernon M. Dees.
Mr. Dees was formerly a DJ at WHEW Radio Station in Ft. Myers Florida and a safety director for DC Trucking and DMX Trucking Companies in South Carolina.
Mr. Dees is survived by one sister, Janet Marze; one niece, Shannon Marze and her husband Matt McKenzie; one aunt, Mary Jane Gross and her husband Sonny; and special friends, John and Heidi Roberts, Donald and Barbara Marze, Tim and Rose Yaksich, Dave and Alice Weakly, Bobby, Wanda and Haley Roberts.
Arrangements are pending.

Donnie and I were classmates at the Auto Mechanics vo-tech school in the early 1970's. He was always there with a joke or a funny story.

Donnie was my friend. I have known him for at least 50 years. w-We attended the Salvation Army together when we were young. His mother was my Sunbeam and Girl Guard leader. We attended the same schools and had recently reconnected thru Face Book. He was a very kind and caring soul and he will be missed by his family and friends. R.I.P. my friend.
