Obituary
Edwin T. Hurlburt, 70, of Lehigh Acres, died July 10, 1998. Formerly of Somers, Conn., Edwin was a retired potato and tobacco farmer and retired to Lehigh Acres in 1983. He was a member of Somers Congregational United Church of Christ and attended the Congregational United Church of Christ in Lehigh Acres. He was a member of the Eastern Draft Horse Association and the Florida Draft Horse Association.
Mr. Hurlburt is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Scofield) Hurlburt of Lehigh Acres; his children, James (Karen) Hurlburt of Somers, Conn., Barbara (Bill) Johnson of Enfield, Conn., Ann Gaskell of Somers, Conn., Marjorie (Rick) Lees of Enfield, Conn., Carl (Mae) Hurlburt of Enfield, Conn.; a sister, Janet Lemieux of Fort Myers; step-children, Gladys (Bill) Liedtke and Paul Worthington of Lehigh Acres; 24 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by his wife, Rosemary, and infant son, Edwin.
Funeral services will be private.
Memorial gifts in his memory may be made to the Lehigh Acres Fire Dept. Ambulance Fund, 1000 Joel Ave., Lehigh Acres, FL 33936.
