Obituary

Gary Leon Sherman, 63, of Fort Myers, Florida (formerly Glen Burnie, Maryland) died June 4, 2006. He was Owner and President of Sherman & Associates, Inc. He served on the FALI Board of Directors from 1995-2004 and was awarded Florida Certified Investigator of the Year 2005. He had over 29 years of combined Private Investigative and Law Enforcement experience having previously served with the Baltimore City Police and Maryland State Police. Gary was the first President of The Suncoast Golf Association founded in 1990 here in Fort Myers and has been an active member for more than 16 years.

He is survived by his beloved wife Karen O'Hara Sherman, daughters Courtney Heath (Jimmy) of TN, Mandy Hockenbrock (Randy) of MD, sister Kawannah Laakso, and brothers Mark and Jeff Nunnally of Fort Myers. He was the adored Grandpa to Dylan, Chloe & Brianna Heath, and Kiley & Reagan Hockenbrock. He also had 13 nieces and nephews and 10 great nieces and nephews and leaves behind many friends and loved ones. Gary was preceded in death by Mother Jean Nunnally.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Lee Memorial Park SR 82. (239) 334-4880, Thursday June 8, 2006 at 6 PM.
