Obituary

Gerald R. Horth, age 82, of Lehigh Acres, FL formerly of Utica, NY, passed away Thursday March 26th, 2009. Son of the late John and Alice (nee Boon) Horth, Gerald was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Horth who passed away in 1978.

Gerald served proudly in the Army and Merchant Marines during WWII. He was a retired Teamster of Local #182 in Utica, NY, as well as a retired member of Yoder Bros, Alva, FL, Deborah Senior Friendship Center, and American Legion Post 323 - Fleet Reserve #144.

Mr. Horth is survived by wife, Evelyn (nee McParland) Horth; 3 brothers, a sister, a son, 2 step sons, 3 daughters, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Also surviving is good friend and caregiver for many years, Ivy.

A memorial service will be held 11AM Wednesday April 1st, 2009 at the Anderson Funeral Home 2701 Lee Blvd. Lehigh Acres, FL 33971. Contributions may be made in his honor to the Deborah Senior Friendship Center. Anderson Funeral Home

We are very sorry to hear of Mr. Horth's passing, which was relayed to us by his daughter Carol Lundquist. Please accept our condolences to the entire family from us as well as from my mother Georgia Lundquist and my brother Charlie. Carol is my sister-in-law, married to my brother Carl. May you all treasure your happy memories and God be with you at your time of loss.
