Dear Joyce and family, living in confusion myself, Iknow not how to ease your pain. Its so important to stay together. I'll never forget Paul's above ground pool and how he was always so motivated. I'll pray for each and everone of you, and I will pray very hard.
My love is with you.

My Dearest McCarley family,
I am so deeply sorry for your loss!I remember Paul when we were all growing up on Hermitage Rd., one particular event comes to mind. We (our parents) decided to build a raft for the downtown river festival. I remember my dad and Paul designing (arguing) and building this thing for weeks. Of course my mom and Joyce topped it off with designing the perfect "chickens of the sea costumes" complete with our mermaid Kelly....The raft sank about fifteen minutes into the race but boy did we have fun.
I would like it very much if I found a family like yours for my children to grow up with and call friends, I treasure the memories I have of ours. There are few things in life we can count on and you all are certainly one of them. In this time of despair I hope your love comforts each other.
Lovingly,
Laida Paul and Gregory Cereceda

My sympathies to Joyce, whom I've known and loved along with Paul for many, many years. I can't get him out of my mind since I read the notice, and I'll miss him. My prayers are with you both.

To Joyce and family,

We will miss Paul who has been a lifelong friend and classmate. From the days at Corpus Christi and Aquinas to the many visits in Ft. Myers, we cherished his friendship.
The world is definitely a less joyful place without his enthusiasm and zest. He always knew how to make us laugh.
Joyce, we love you and know that God will give you the strenght you need at this time.

Love always,

John and Liz Hoermle

To Joyce and all your very Special Family,
Having shared a 30+ year friendship with you all, I realize how big a void Paul’s death will leave with each of you . Words are so inadequate at times like these!
May all your happy memories bring you peace, and may your wonderful family bond bring you strength, and your strong faith bring you comfort.
Please know that each of you are in our hearts and prayers.
Jo, Jose,and all our Family

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

To all of the McCarleys;

I am so grateful to have a lifetime of memories to choose from that surround our families coming together! Paul was such a wonderful father and friend, and the way you all love each other is an inspiration to others!

I personally will always think of Paul with a pride-filled smile across his face jitter-bugging with all the brides at the many weddings your family has celebrated! No one could tear up the dance floor like Paul.

Our love and prayers are with you now and always-
