Violet Myers Obituary


Obituary

Violet Amos Myers was called to be with the Lord on September 20, 2001 in Lindsay, Ontario, Canada. She was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada on February 12, 1923 and moved to Lee County in 1945. Violet was a member of Riverside Baptist Church since 1957 and was the organist for 18 years there.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Amos, daughter Frances Amos Barber, and grandchildren Mitch Harrell, Jr. and Angie Lewis.

Violet will be greatly missed by her husband Fred Myers, her children Lois Berkley, Janette (Brian) Christensen, Keith (Linda) Amos, Beverly (Kevin) Noble, Rowena (Richard) Turner, Jim Myers, Eileen (Sonny) Sokol, Helen (Robert) Knoll, sisters Thelma Budd, Mona (Tom) Bell, Viola Lutes, and brother Norman Lutes, many grandchildren, nieces and nephews, many friends.

A memorial funeral service will be conducted in the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tony Chester officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the memorial service.

Interment will be in the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
