I'm sorry I was out of state when Bill passed away. He was a great nieghbor; I appreciate his friendliness and all of his good deeds. He never expected to live this long. I think this was his reward. I know you will miss him, Lorrie.

I met Bill in the '70's in PA thru his daughter, Pam. What a guy. Wicked, wicked, sense of humor. He treated me just like another one of the kids (thanks for all the lunches you treated Pam and me to). A lot of miles and a lot of horse shows. And, oh yeh, the nickname has stuck for years.
Prayers to all the family.

I feel lucky to have known Bill the last few years. He was a genuine person, exuding friendliness and joy and I must say, a bit of stubborness. He was determined to beat his illness, and for a long time, it seemed he might.
Through Bill, I met his grandson, Evan. I gave Evan a small gift one day when Bill and he were delivering flowers. To my astonishment, I received a thank-you note!!!!! And so began a treasured friendship.
I was fortunate to meet Lorrie, finally, and Evan's sister and father. All this goodwill and friendship and fun because Bill was so kind and thoughtful to bring his grandson along on flower deliveries.
My heart goes out to the entire family.
