David Dobyns Obituary

David Wayne Dobyns David Wayne Dobyns, 78, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022 in Shawnee. He was born November 4, 1944 to Clester and Fern (Brown) Dobyns in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. David was raised in Oklahoma City. He has lived in Tecumseh for the past 25 years. He married Nola Hazen on May 21, 1999 in Washington State. David was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Shawnee. He loved to dance and loved the challenge of fixing things to bring them back to life. He loved helping people and sharing Jesus with people he met. The highlight of his day was his morning devotionals with his wife Nola. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clester and Fern Dobyns; 7 siblings; and daughter-in-law, Ratana Dobyns. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nola Dobyns of the home; 2 daughters, Tanna Bean and Nichelle Tieman; 3 sons, Michael Dobyns, Allan Dobyns and Craig Dobyns; 2 step-daughters, Helen Lee and Sondra Tonubbee; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 14, 2022 at Liberty Baptist Church in Shawnee with Reverend Phil Thompson and Reverend David Tieman officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh. To share memories, or to sign the guest book on-line, go to www.cooperfuneral.com.
