Earl Lauderdale

1934 - 2025

Earl Lauderdale made his departure from this earth-heaven bound on the evening of November 30, 2025.

How do you begin to sum of the life of a legend? Is it through the works he did here on earth? Serving in the Air Force, and the Tennessee Defense Force, serving as mayor of Waynesboro Ga, his work in communications and radio -owning WBLC radio, his work in real estate -starting his own agency , teaching real estate courses, and later working with his grandsons Jeremiah and Joshua until the age of 85. He ingrained a strong work ethic in all of us.

Is it his work in the community? Holding many positions at Central United Methodist Church and Trinity United Methodist Church, serving on the Housing Authority, and holding many other community positions, he taught us to always be of service to those around us.

Is it the love, support, and life lessons he instilled in our family? As a devoted husband to Caroline Lauderdale for 70 years, the father of four :Jeffrey Lauderdale (Robin), Jennifer Wampler, Jessica Strunk (Sanford) Julie Tilley (Jerry Kidd).

Grandfather to: Jeremiah Wampler (Shinae), Joseph Wampler, Joshua Hartsook, Jacob and Jordan McKenzie, Jennifer Yousef (Mohammed), Nicolas Norris, Noah Tilley, Carrie and Jeremy Richard; and the great grandfather to: Wilder, Scarlett, and Juliette Wampler, Aybree, Lena and Musa Yousef, Joziah and Lainey Wampler, Greyson, Alayna, and Kyson Wilson, and Noah Richard, we all were blessed.

He was a guiding force, and the center of our family. A constant presence propelling us to be our best selves, to give back to our community, to never stop improving and learning, all done with a gentle heart, entertaining sense of humor, and the most incredible laugh.

Your lessons are in each of us. We will carry your voice into the world, and remember to "speak from our diaphragm". We love you infinitely.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, December 5th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Pastor Barbara Clark will officiate. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 11 a.m. Saturday morning and proceed to Lakeview Cemetery for 11:30 graveside services with full military honors conferred by the Loudon County Veteran Honor Guard.
