Alice Lair Obituary
Alice Brown Lair, 78, of Turkey Trot Lane, Gladys, passed away Tuesday,
Dec. 28, 2010, at Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the wife of Edward Franklin Lair.
Mrs. Lair was born in Campbell County on June 7, 1932, a daughter of the late Aubrey Brown and Kate Morris Brown. She was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Teresa Childress, of Falcon, Mo., Deborah Henley, of Forest, Kimberly Lair, of Gloucester Point, and Sharon Harris, of Appomattox; one son, Edward Lair Jr., of Leesburg; eight grandchildren; one brother, Morris Brown, of Richmond; and one sister, Doris Webber, of Rustburg.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at Henderson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. David Heerspink, with interment to follow in Wesleybury Methodist Church Cemetery, Gladys.
The family will receive friends before the funeral service from 11:30 to 1 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Brookneal.

Ed & Alice's family: Praying for each of you and I loved Alice so very much. I have known her for so many years and we went to school at Gladys and she came to William Campbell and took some classes with the 1952 class. God will comfort you during the time and we shall see her again.
