To the Grimm Family,
I worked at WSET-TV in 1983 and Mr. Grimm was the magician at my son's 3rd BDay party. Of course he amazed the grown-ups more so than the kids. I am sure he will be missed. My heart goes out to his entire family. He is in a better place than we are.

Dear Sue and Family,
We were shocked to hear of Charlie's death. The Sunday before at Heritage Green he had made a balloon dog for our granddaughter Brooke and dazzled us with his American Flag!
I always enjoyed seeing you together; your love for one another was clearly evident. Thank you both for your service to the Lord.
We will be praying for you in the coming months. We know that the Lord can sustain you through your loss. The wonderful thing is that He is willing and able to do so.
Love and prayers,
Jim and Ann Wharton

Dear Sue and Family:
There can be no doubt that Charlie Grimm is one of the most loved members of Heritage Baptist Church.
“Mr. Charlie” has been such a blessing to our sons as they were growing up.
I greatly respect his unique talents and so appreciated his zeal in serving the Lord. To know Charlie was to love Charlie. Connie and I will always cherish our memories of our friend “Mr. Charlie.”

Sue,
I am deeply saddened by the news of Charlie. He was a great man and did a lot of things for his community.
He was a devout Christian and great humanitarian. Charlie invested his time into many young people, including myself. He was instrumental in the shaping of my life. I hold true to the same values he instilled in me at an early age.
Now that I am a father, I hope to do the same for my children. Time is a precious commodity and we don’t know how much each of us is given. Those of us, who have built our lives upon the rock of salvation, have the reassurance of seeing him again. I trust that the good Lord is being entertained at this moment.
We all with miss that great big smile of his, along with his very big heart of his.
Charlie you may be gone, but you definitely not forgotten. I look forward to the day I see my Savior and your right there next to him.
I wish I was able to attend the funeral, but just received notice from Kevin Spencer today and we are out of town.
Love,
Gary E. Bartlett

Dear Miss Sue,
We were all very shocked to hear about the loss of your husband - "Mr. Charlie". He was the inspiration for me and Brandon to do balloon art. Because of his life, we have been able to tell children in Saltillo, Mexico about Jesus and His love - using the balloons he got for us.
You and your family are in our prayers. Whenever we make our balloon art, we will think of Mr. Charlie.
With love and prayers,
Ryan & Brandon Burket

Dearest Sue,
Rob and I are so saddened to hear of your sudden loss of Charlie. It has been such a joy to arrive at church early Sunday mornings and see Charlie standing there at the door ready to greet everyone. We shall miss him - he was usually the first one we saw Sunday mornings and he always greeted us with such warm enthusiasm. We shall certainly miss him. We are praying for your comfort as you experience what God has in store for you. Your 57 years of marriage is encouragement to us and to many others! May you experience God's comfort, mercy, and grace in the coming days.

How tragic that he was taken so quickly, but how wonderful to know that you will see him some day again in Glory. I remember how Mr. Grimm entertained all the kids at Forest Park with his balloon animals. Know that you are all in my prayers.
